The Most Sensational Guest Star Ever!

Oct 31, 2006 in Daredevil, What Were They Thinking

Not since Spidey teamed up with the Not Yet Ready for Prime Time Players has Marveldom seen such an awesome collaboration!

“Look out! That man has a spoon!”

“Don’t worry, I’ll save you!”

Almost done with the Daredevil panels already. Very sad.

Matt needs to Rethink how he treats Natasha.

For most of her co-headlining run in Daredevil, The Black Widow is actually so much window dressing. Still, every now and then she gets her moments in the sun.

Or where the sun doesn’t shine:

Let this be a moral to you all: Former Soviet spies fight dirty!

The House of Recycled Ideas II

Oct 27, 2006 in Daredevil, What Were They Thinking

Remember those panels from FF I dug up where the Four had to testify before Congress about a proposed Super Hero Registration Act?

Well, here’s another 90′s story that’s apparently been forgotten to the point that doing it again was lauded as fresh and new!

For those of you in the cheap seats:

Not only was Matt’s ID outed before, but it was done in the same exact fashion.

Now, the logic they used to get out of it was kind of torturous. Matt faked his own death but continued to operate as Daredevil, which makes sense, right? After all, if Murdock’s dead, then he can’t be DD.

Oh, except as Daredevil he’s running around telling everyone that he’s a new Daredevil.

Let’s not get into the fact that he did that before with his “Mike Murdock” persona, or into the very convoluted way they brought Matt back to life.

It’s not really a wonder why the pre-Kessel 90′s issues are pretty much ignored, is it?

Matt Murdock Knows How To Treat a Lady!

Oct 26, 2006 in Daredevil, Sexism, What Were They Thinking

Matt clearly graduated from the Reed Richards school of etiquette.

That right folks, spank ‘em, condescend to ‘em, and treat ‘em like property. That’s the Reed Richards way!

*snort*

Oct 25, 2006 in Daredevil, What Were They Thinking

Every now and then I read something that makes me laugh. Which usually gets me some odd looks from my fellow 6:00 AM commuters.

That’s Moondragon, guys. In her original ID as “Madam McEvil”!

I didn’t even know Moondragon was a Scott!

Stilt-man Finally Scares Me.

Oct 24, 2006 in Daredevil, What Were They Thinking

For years I’ve thought of Stilt-Man as a joke.

No more.

Anyone who’s not scared by someone who rapes his victims 20 stories from the ground is tougher than me and the Black Widow both.

Why Foggy Nelson Isn’t DA anymore.

Oct 23, 2006 in Creepy Relationships, Daredevil, Sexuality, What Were They Thinking

Did you know Foggy Nelson was once a NY DA?

Really.

Sadly, his relationships with Matt Murdock and Glorianna O’Breen cost him the job.

How so?

Two panels:

This, of course, we all knew.

This, however, we did not:

Now there’s a side of Mister Nelson I’d rather not have known about!

Speaking of Sensing Color

Oct 20, 2006 in Daredevil, Racism, What Were They Thinking

Heres a touching PC (and logical) moment:

And heres a not so touching moment!

So what do white people smell like? Mayonnaise?

Daredevil Sensing Color.

Oct 19, 2006 in Bad Science, Daredevil, Odd Powers, What Were They Thinking

This is something that really bugs me:

Okay, I thought, as I read issue one, maybe he ordered two specific types of fabrics, each in a set color. I can buy that.

Wait no, this one says he can actually “feel” color.

Howe the HECK do you feel color?

They finally try to explain it in issue 106

(have to UL)

Okay, he gauges colors by how hot an object is?

That makes no sense. Color is caused by light, yes, but it also depends on what the substance is, etc. For example, my hair won’t change color in different temperatures.

Bleh!

Ain’t To Proud to (cyber)beg.

Oct 18, 2006 in Daredevil, Family, What Were They Thinking

I feel like I do this too much and it might be getting a little pathetic, but if anyone could take a moment and send a donation, it would be amazingly helpful.

Now that we’ve had a commercial, here’s a bonus panel and a question.

Wait, so he wearing sunglasses under his mask? Wouldn’t that look funny?
