There will be a blog post today with actual content. Really.
However, right now I’d like to make an appeal of sorts.
NCSY, a Jewish Youth Group (that my parents actually met in) affiliated with the Orthodox Union (largest Koser certifier in the world), is having a big contest with Apple. The prize is a $3,000 shopping spree at the Apple Store, plus dinner at a fancy Kosher steakhouse and being put up at a hotel for the night (and airfair to NY and back if you’re not from there, limo if you are).
The drawing is 12/9, one day after my birthday (I’m THIS many old!)
One of the neat things is they have a “referral” option. Basically, one you enter it generates a link, and every time someone signs up with that link, you get another ticket along with their ticket. Which is pretty cool.
The downside, of course, is you’d be signing up for a mailing list… But that’s why Tony Stark* invented Spam filters, right?
“My” link is http://www.ncsyapple.com/refer/54848. (Sorry for the cut and paste format, but I’m doing this via Poster for WebOS).
We could really use the night out and the equipment I’d buy (oh for a non-junky printer!). Plus, there’s always a shot YOU could win.
Thanks.
*It was him, I’m sure of it.
