The JLA supervillian The Key has one of the worst costumes and least threatening names of any bad guy out there. Yet several times he does a pretty good job of almost beating the JLA. Like in issue #63.

You think I’m joking about the ACLU hating Superman, but then we jump a few decades later to issue #110!

I love how The Key is complaining that the judge was too lenient.

Superman Used To Be Tougher with Suspects

In World’s Finest #2, Superman scares a confession out of a bad guy in a very Batman-esque way.

To start with, he pretends they’re going to crash into a plane (“talk, or take some innocent people with you). It’s pretty slick, but then he gets a bit harsher (if possible).

Wow. I mean, at least when Batman leaves people dangling from roofs he has them somewhat close to the ground. That guy’s pretty much dead.

Good job, Kal-El.

Sorry about missing Monday. Long week. Still working up next week’s posts. It’s a doozy of a story…

Thank goodness Superman doesn’t have a deviated septum, or he’d be listing to the side like a Macy’s Day balloon in the wind!

Quick snapshot of the story for ya: Superman’s doused with odd radiation that causes disaster whenever he touches the ground. He decides to get around this in a most inventive way:

Witness the high-tech wonder that is Superman’s “Krypto-Ray-Gun”

This is neat. Superman has, essentially, invented the first instant camera/projector combo. Interesting that it is in the form of a gun, but what I like is that this is a comic book invention that could actually exist. Indeed, I kind of want one.
