As you all know, one of the things I love about older comics is how they pull random powers out of a hat. There are certain rules to it though. Superman has super breath/ventriloquism/shapechanging, etc. Martian Manhunter has Martian vision/ magnetism/alchemy… you get the picture.
So what happens when they do it for Wonder Woman?

Why isn’t it her Wonder Voice?
Also, gotta love Aquaman trying to be part of the effort.

Wonder Woman and the Martian Manhunter are trying to turn off a doomsday device with no visible off mechanism.
Wonder Woman has an idea!

This makes as much sense as anything, I suppose. How to get to it, though?

“Good girl!”? What is she, a puppy? She just saved the world while you sat on your Martian ass.
Of course, the real reason I posted it is for this:

Oh. Oh my.

In Showcase #59, the Teen Titans meet “The Flips”, a “hip” band (dig it, daddy-o).
This story has been already been mocked on the web, but I just have to include this one page.
I love the continuing “realistic” teen/guardian interaction.
I am also amused by the fact that they have television in Atlantis and on Paradise Island. How exactly does that work? They’re hidden secret societies? but they get the basic networks?
Then of course, there’s that last panel.
I’m sure “ride a double” means something completely innocent, but I’m going to pretend otherwise ? especially because it’s coming from a creation of William “Swinger” Marston.

Sorry about the lack of post yesterday. Tisha B’av is the saddest day of the Jewish year and I thought a post would be in poor form, even by proxy.
Speaking of “poor form”
Let me first note that I live in NY and on 9/11 worked in a location where you could see the Towers.
Then observe this.

Between this and that episode of “the Lone Gunmen”, I’m getting a little weirded out.
Is this some kind of meme?
