Joe Quesada is Right.

“The concept for that cover, soup to nuts came from a female artist…While I appreciate the sentiment and the feelings that some may have about this, I honestly feel that there is way too much being read into this cover.”

How could I be so foolish? Of course that cover isn’t mysogonist. The artist was a woman.

Women cannot be sexist. Wonder Woman said so.

    Even if a female artist did the cover, who’s the editor of the book? It’s not uncommon for an editor to design the cover and instruct the artist to follow what they’re given.

    He said the concept came from a female artist. That said for all we know the artist was a lesbian who had the hots for the sort of thing on the cover *shrug*

    Now I wonder if the term “lesbian” in the comment from Lemming is meant in a disrespecting, bad way. Sure seems to me like it. Now I could start reading things into that comment…

    No, it was more meant in the maybe she was a lesbian who has the hots for that sort of thing way. Not quite sure how else I could phrase it

    I very much did not borrow that scan from your site. I only post images from the comic runs I am reading. Look at my image again. Your copy was clearly in better shape than mine, as some of my text is smudgier and I have some kind of water spot after “inhabited”.

    We found the same panel amusing and scanned it. I’m sorry if you think I copied you. I’ve had people swipe from me and I would never do it to someone else.
