I’ve been going back and tweaking old posts to match the new site layout and it occurred to me that I’ve never really thanked all the other people who make this site possible.
We’re hosted by Nick Kask of Kask Creativity. When I say hosted, I mean he foots the bills too. He also keeps my database from being insane and is made of awesome.
My friend Jim MacQuarrie is a graphic designer who originally hosted the site and still occasionally gives me great site advice (as well as superlative parenting advice).
Rounding the team up is our workhourse, Matt Allgren. When not writing for his own blog or my other project Techcitement, Matt is my WordPress Guru. You can thank Matt for the new design and I can thank him for a ton of behind the scene goodies.
Of course, I have to give a nod to my wife and family, who humor my time spent reading/scanning/sorting comic books.
Then there’s the regular readers who keep coming back. Even when the site was basically fallow for months, you guys kept coming back. Seriously, there was an average of five hundred hits a day. That’s an awesome ego boost. I love reading the comments from the regulars (I’d namecheck you, but I don’t want to accidentally leave anyone out), and I also deeply appreciate the entertainment and support (including fiscal) that you guys have sent out. Also, whoever keeps adding us to tvtropes pages- thanks!
That’s enough emotion. Let’s look at some of the recent Search Terms that have brought people here. I’m picking from two days last week when there were almost a thousand hits.
“incest comics” is sadly a popular one, as are “like frottage” and “frotteurism”. I suspect “crotch bulge” were disappointed when they were led to the same results as “superman alex ross” and “alex ross justice”. “Irish gypsy” has been a popular term on an almost daily basis. I confess that “wedgie spank” is a new one.
