Bat Gadgets.

I love Bat Gadgets. The Bat-Mobile, Bat-Plane, Bat-Cave, etcetera, etcetera, ad nauseam. One of my favorites is the Bat Boat, but Batman #154 features an interesting version of it.

You have to love the idea of a wind-powered crime-fighting vessel.

I think Commissioner Gordon should have picked a different book for his guest appearance on Reading Rainbow.

Surely, the tragedy happened because Batman is commanding the ship from a spot in which he can't see a d*** thing in front of him?

    He was presumably using bat-sonar.

They're going so fast that Batman's cape is billowing behind him like a flag.
    Hang on -

The last words Batman wrote were “we need a bigger boat”.

The book Gordon is holding is bigger in the second panel, btw.

Um, Gordon? I think you can skip to the part where they kick it, we don't need all the backstory.

    And somehow, a Bat-Sailboat just doesn't seem as imposing as a Bat-Mobile or Bat-Plane.

“It is my sad duty to tell you that Batman and Robin are dead!

And now, if you will, a special reading of WAR AND PEACE by Leo Tolstoy.”

That's our Batman, going green before going green was in.

So Im assuming the ship didn't sink if the commisioner has the bat-log…..which is red and not bat shaped….which is rather odd…
