I’m still more or less freaked out by the fact that Scott, rebounding from Jean’s death, married a woman who could be Jean’s twin. That’s just…icky.

For me the funniest part is the incredibly tacky padded pink heart-shaped headboard. Can you imagine the décor of the rest of the honeymoon suite? Do you think it has a heart-shaped jacuzzi in the bathroom?

Actually, she’s Jean’s clone. Which means Scott married and made love to an exact genetic double of the woman he’s loved for years, and never had more than a passing thought of “Gosh, she seems kinda like Jean.”
It also means Maddy had to endure at least nine months of “Gee, you have a mole behind your knee, just like Jean!” before finally being left to fend for herself against the Marauders.
And for some strange reason, she eventually went insane.

Abandoning Maddy would have been bad enough, even factoring out, as Shiai pointed out, his creepy reasons for being with her in the first place. But you can (and some people did) play the “Love of his life” card to try and excuse it away.
Abandoning his newborn son, though…
What absoultely kills me though, it that it took Deadpool, *Deadpool* of all people to finally call Scott on what a POS father he’s been.
