Dark Times.

1987 was a very dark time for fashion, especially in comic books.

Peter, you could set yourself on fire and that outfit wouldn’t be “hot”.

    Also: MJ looks even worse than Peter. I mean…the pearls? The fishnets? The freaking belt?

    Now Peter’s outfit just plain burns the eyes (is that what he means by looking hot?–he does sort of look like plastic man with those glasses!)

    but MJ’s outfit lets you know that she is going au natural under there!!

    Do you get the feeling, judging by the background, that the whole party is encircling Peter and MJ, staring at them while MJ dresses him down for dressing him up???

    MJ’s outfit is kind of a mix between that of a “working girl” from waist down and that of a bollywood actress from waist up. It kinda cool though, it has that fancy 80′s touch… brings back memories of my early teens in those years.

    Peter on the other hand, 80s or not 80s, looks plain abysmal.

    Was MJ auditioning her and Peter to be a Hooker and Pimp on the set of Miami Vice??? Gods… Calling the Fashion police! Arrest that woman for her awful fashion sense!!

    And Kira. I was alive back then and thankfully too young to even wear something like that.

    Weird. I distinctly remember reading this comic in the mid-nineties, around the same period as Secret Wars 2. Either they were REALLY late to publish the comic in Sweden or the artist’s fashion sense slipped by a few years. . .

    Also, classy of MJ to bring up the dead mother…whose fashion sense might have been a little outdated by the days standards, but probably would have been leagues better than that…
