Sure, Fate could stop him with a blast or something, but that’s nowhere near as fun as crushing him with some random bit of the guys apparatus.
Hmmm… is the plural of apparatus apparati? It should be.

Yeah, Mr.Fate is pretty evil as it is… I can totally see him going after the wizarding world.

“Apparatus” is a collective noun. Since it doesn't refer to a specific item, it doesn't pluralize.
