Hal Really Did Die in Issue 46. Seriously. No fooling.

In fact, he’s still dead when #47 opens.

“…that he deceived me into leaving the man I loved”.

Gasp!

Wait… ‘Girl Gladiator”? REALLY?

“Female crusader?”

Kinda random condescension there.

She’s even wearing stiletto heels, like any ready for action female crusader should!

Just stand there staring, Katma. Don’t raise an alarm or scan the area for teleport signals with your ring or anything.

Hal couldn’t have done it, it was in a YELLOW room. Me thinks it’s something magnetically!

I do agree that it’s not PC by our standards to randomly mention gender but I don’t think that it’s condescending.

It just seemed like a whole lot of “SHE’S A LADY!” at once.

See? Just a quick break, then back to work. I wonder if even taxes are certain in the DCU.

They probably thought the readers were total morons that they couldn’t tell a lady by her curves. maybe they thought the short hair would throw the so-called morons off, much like how a guy sporting long hair could cause people to mistaken him for a chick. So the artists and the writers just HAD to drive the point that she was a woman home.

That woman went from green to red.
