Wertham Would Have Been Wild About These Guys.
Grimbor the Chainsman and Charma are the most subtextual comic characters ever to be published by DC. He was a man dressed in a bondage outfit who lived in a dungeon and was obsessed with restraints. She was a woman with the ability to make any man do as she wished, but any woman who met her would automatically want to hurt her.
Wait, did I say “subtextâ€. Not much “sub†going on here.
(Unless we count Gim and Rokk in the background there.)
Grimbor was defeated and we learn that he had planned to chain up Charma too, to make her his slave for life.
He came back for another go at the Legion.
What a courteous dom he is!
That said, I wonder why they named him “Grimbor†– was “Leatherdaddy†taken?
