In This Issue! Platinum Dies!

And no, not her hair.

Like I said, one of the cool things about the Metal Men was they keep getting trashed and restored. In issue two Platinum saves the whole team by sacrificing themselves. Normally, Doc would just make another, but they decide to make this interesting:

Gosh, do you get the sense that they were trying to influence the vote just a smidge?

She just sacrificied herself to save planet earth and the best they can do is “I forgive her — she's only a woman”?

Ok. If that Mercury jackass hates women so much, why does he have the international symbol for “female” plastered all over his chest? Was that just a sick joke by Magnus, or do these robots actually choose what they wear?

  • Wizard

Mercury's symbol is actually the alchemical symbol for the element mercury, also used in astrology to represent the planet Mercury. The female symbol is the astrological symbol for Venus. They do look similar, but the Mercury symbol has small wings on top. According to Wiki, the symbol represent the winged helmet and staff of the god Mercury, while the Venus symbol represents a hand mirror.

WHY would you create a reader poll in the second freaking issue? Not only does it look tacky, but it presumes that your comic is an automatic hit, when in fact there may not be enough people who actually care enough to read the damn thing, much less try to influence its content.

@Seezar and Wizard: Shut up; just shut up. Who believes Wiki anyway? A hand mirror? Really? Winged helmet and staff indeed. It looks like the female symbol with horns to me.
