More Blatant Gender Politics

I think I’m going to start presenting these without comment. I can’t think of anything to say that I haven’t said already.

Once again, the Metal “Men” all show emotion, but only Tina gets chided.

Oh, and for those still playing the “Female” drinking game from years back, take a shot.

    Gold is amused at Mercury's jealousy because he knows how completely gay mercury is for the doctor… is egging Mercury on to see what he'll do. Because Gold just likes to stir things up to keep things interesting!

    Iron on the other hand– has no idea why what the hell Tina sees in the doctor… because hey… just because he's their creator doesn't mean that he has to respect him. He buys into the idea that Tina is defective somehow… and secretly thinks that Mercury's defective too just for having a thing for the jerk who calls himself a doctor. However, he finds himself compelled to “agree” with the others because he doesn't want to stand out too much.

    Just my own personal interpretation of the characters. :P From what I've seen of the metal men so far, Iron seems to be the most laid back out of the whole bunch. he pretty much has an “whatever you say, dude.” attitude, and seems to be the only one out of the whole group who hasn't expressed much emotion regarding the subject of the doc.

    Mind you ladies and gentlemen that doc says “any SUCH emotion” and it is true that Tina shows such emotions as love, genuine care for another living being (albeit be it a robot), etc. whereas the other metal men are jealous, condenscending, arrogant,… and show all the traits of dick – errr- doc Magnus.

    I can't believe this just occurred to me, but: If Doc didn't plan for Tina to be a “female” robot, why did he give her breasts?

    Just because he's too misogynistic/immature to deal with actual women and all their icky emotions doesn't mean Doc doesn't like to look at boobies.

    That smarmy look on Gold's face suggests to me that he's not buying his explanation at all, but I suppose it could also be that he's goading Mercury. Or it could be that he's trying to cover up how horribly he said that last sentence. Ye gods.
