Most Racist “Mainstream” Comics Ever?

Fox Feature’s “jungle” comics could be pretty darn racist. I had a ton of examples of this pre-crash, but here are a few of an “interesting” phenomena.

Those are supposed to be African Tribeswomen.

This happens in most of the Fox books: African tribeswomen are drawn with distinctly European features, while African tribesmen are drawn with highly exaggerated African features. Indeed, the more “noble” the “savage”, the more European they are drawn.

Also, I can’t be sure, but I think Jo-Jo is actually supposed to be native.

    Is it just me, or does the hair on that “native” in panel 2 bear too strong a resemblance to Dee's from What's Happening? I love his puffball hairdo with the little bone-shaped hair ties! Where can I get those?

    Also, 'little one's' look of open-mouthed appreciation of 'the tribesmen' in the second to the last panel suggests that 'white jungle lord' is probably not going to be the only entree on the dance-card tonight…
