Nice Backhand, Pete

Peter Parker sure knows how to sweet-talk a girl.

“Sure you’re a ditsy dame, but you’re easy on the eyes.”

“Oh THANK YOU for the lovely compliment!”

Another automated post. See you guys Monday when I’ll be “live” again.

“And gee, Betty, you sure don’t sweat much for a fat chick!”

I’ve concluded the word “female” is an insult in Marvelland. What’s her worst sin, being jealous, being foolish or being female?

  • Clarkins

I like how she’s looking down at her feet while the alpha male talks to her. Must not make eye contact.

The hiding of her genitals is a bit much, though. May as well have her submissively urinating.

“Sure you’re a ditsy dame, but you’re easy on the eyes.”

Come on, he also said she was nice and wonderful. She even admitted she was being foolish herself.

I’ll give you that Peter doesn’t come off to well in this and other examples from the same era, but this one’s fairly mild.

G, if he slapped her, she would be the happiest girl in the whole world “He touched me with his hand. He loves me!”

  • Michael

“He hit me and it felt like a kiss
He hit me but it didn’t hurt me
He couldn’t stand to hear me say
That I’d been with someone new
And when I told him I had been untrue
He hit me and it felt like a kiss
He hit me and I knew he loved me
Cause if he didn’t care for me
I could have never made him mad
He hit me and I was glad”

Is this the first time we have seen a WOMAN refer to herself as a FEMALE?

  • typolad

Not at all. Very common in old Marvel Comics.

  • Zealex

I was just a little confused, cause I could only remember GUYS calling them females…

“And I don’t care what ANYONE says, the strange triangular/oval shape of your head and hair is attractive, not repulsive in the least!”
