“That Black Woman”
The thing about being a black comic book character is, nine times out of ten, it’s your defining characteristic.
Still, this goes a bit far:
“Gee Maddy, you think? She looks just like her.”
“Well I’m sorry, but they all look alike to me.”
Labor Day plans, so I posted early.

“Black? Sorry, Maddy, that woman looks red to me! Ruby quartz glasses? Hmmmmm.”

“Nah.. it’s some other black woman with a white mohawk…”

“Come to think of it, Maddy, I think it’s probably that other black woman with a white mohawk and blue eyes. You know, Oprah.”

To be fair, couldn’t Maddy be asking cause she hadn’t been around the X-men long at that point?
Or, if memory serves, they’re supposed to have been transformed by Enchantress and should look different, though the art does a bad job of conveying that. . .

Is that Storm holding Thor’s hammer? Maybe it’s not Ororo at all, but just Thor after another wacky transformation, courtesy of Loki.
Hey, the big guy has already been a frog….

To be fair, no one ever accused Maddy of being a genius.
She did marry Scott, after all.

“Could that white boy be…Cyclops?”

Just be glad it was the 80′s and not the 70′s, then Scott might have said “Oh Maddy! That is the new sassy sista of 76! Black She-Thor!”

Sorry Maddie, but I would expect Ororo to stick in your head.

It’s just Maddie getting back at Storm’s earlier comment: “Scott, could that white woman be Jean Grey?”
