This Page Can Cause Whiplash

Yes, it’s yet another page of Doc treating Platinum like trash…

    So, nobody's going to notice a strange rocket landed on their planet, especially since they are clearly not in an abandoned territory…

    This is all so wrong… where to start?

    1) “We'll have a chance to surprise his captors” Because who would notice a Saturn V sized rocket landing in the middle of town?

    2) And speaking of the ship, they've built a state-of-the-art interplanetary ship and nobody thought of a way of getting out of it without the help of an elasctic robot?

    3) Doc was surely the ladiesman of his class at highschool.

    4) The only thing missing in the last panel is an “Alone at last” text balloon from Mercury.

    Oh, they thought of it, but why would you do something as silly as installing a ladder if you had the alternative of shimmying down a robot made of mercury? (Why isn't he always a liquid, anyway?)

    Mercury is always going on about being the only metal that's liquid at room temperature, and they try to convey it by having him break into globs instead of shards when he does break…but since most of the Metal Men were maleable to the point that they may as well have been liquids, I don't get the big deal.

    I wonder if Doc has to justify everything with needlessly complicated and repetitive babbling.

An omelet, which is to say several eggs that are beaten together and then fried in a small pan, but then other things are added on top while it's still cooking before one half of the now solidified mixture is folded over and served. That would make a much better breakfast than a mere fried egg.”

    Since robots don't breathe, why is Doc saying “We don't need to wear special outfits” (“Special outfits”? Such technical talk! Didn't the writer have a dictionary?). Does Jerkface have multiple personality disorder? Or is he using the Imperial “We”? That would be just like him; what a jackass.
