Thrill-A-Minute Comics

Captain Marvel’s life is full of peril, isn’t it?

Yes, I can certainly see why he was the most popular character of his day.

Fortunately, it was the old days, and there was always an empty barrel around if you lost your clothes.

Yep, I can just see those Wisdom-Of-Solomon brand gears grinding away in his skull.

“I could catch up with the thief in a second, but there’s a tiny chance that someone might see my junk… I know! Billy Batson still has his clothes! I’ll change back, and he can chase down the thief!”

Which leaves one question: When Captain Marvel changes back sans clothes, will the costume remain where it is? A question worthy of Schrödinger if there ever was one.

What totally makes that cover is the little rabbit in the background going “WTF?”

…and why does he use so much starch in his suit?

Why would he go swimming as a super-hero? Does Billy not know how to swim?

Little known fact: Cap also gets the swimming of Greg Louganis, but “SHLAZAM” was too many letters.

I love the fact that this was #50.

“Hrm. Gotta come up with something special for issue 50… I know! Nudity! Kids love nudity!”
