To the Moon, Tina!

Time to rescue Platinum, folks.

Please note that this admission won’t stop Doc, or the cheering Mercury, from deriding Platinum for the rest of the series… But that’s not the important point.

This is.

Wait… what? Let’s go to the video tape…

What???

“I'm entitled to make mistakes! I'm only human! You guys, however, had better do everything right or you're scrap.”

Okay, first off, what the hell. Thought force X power? Teleportation through an image? Was this comic that early that they didn't realize it was actually possible to, you know, fly directly to the moon?

And second, WHY are the Metal Men in space suits?

And third…what atmospheric effects? The Moon has no atmosphere (all right, an extremely tiny and thin atmosphere, but for all intents and purposes no atmosphere).

Okay, my brain sufficiently hurts now.

  • Dominoed Daredoll

Maybe the Metal Men are in space suits so they can have nice little chats with Doc Butthead. It's not for their protection, but the Doc's convenience.

    The Moon has no atmosphere

Giving the micro-detector's ability to “vacuum her up” all the more impressive.

Gotta love how comics just casually toss out these revolutionary advances in technology while focusing on mundane bickering.

  • Wizard

And if the rocket is propelled by “though force”, whatever that is, why does it still have flames shooting out the back? Just to make it look all cool and rocket-y?

  • http://Slayerlit.us Shiai

Yeah, and then they never refer to the technology ever again…even in situations where they could really, really use it.

Magnus has a device that can selectively “vacuum up” minute bits of platinum in the area? Well, no wonder he can afford to build a robot made entirely of gold.
