Typo’s Best: Ah, Magnetism!

Monday, February 15th, 2010 @ 12:00 am | Bad Science, Puns, What Were They Thinking, X-Men

Hey everybody, Site Admin Matt here. Today’s entry, originally posted in July 2007, is–I think–the first to mention the Magical, Mystical, Confusing World of Magnetism.

By the way, it’s been nearly 2½ years since the last X-Men post. Weird.

When did David Bowie take on the role of magneto? :P
those mismatched eyes are just so lovely. *swoon*

  2. Arkyramone Says:

And here I thought the glowing eye effect started in the late 80's early 90's with Longshot and cable

  3. Dierna Says:

So now he's trying to hypnotize us magnetically….how fun…

  4. Dr. Novakaine Says:

I always loved this one because of the expression and the last line. I will say that it felt to me like Magneto was trying to make a bad joke rather than deliberately screwing up the science, but knowing how bad comics were about that it could easily go either way.

  5. HellRazor Says:

“You are held by MAGNETIC ATTRACTION!

Only, if I was attracting you, I guess you wouldn't be held, you'd be coming toward me.

And I guess magnetism doesn't really work that way either.”

Magneto turns angrily. “God Damn It! STAN!!?!?!”
