Zatara Doesn’t Mess Around.

There’s a reason most people can’t name an arch-foe for Zatara; he didn’t go much for repeat performances.

I should note that he did actually have a re-occurring foe in The Huntress (not the one you’re thinking of), but if you weren’t a hot redhead, you didn’t want to go starting any long books, if you know what I mean.

    Whoa. He spent an hour being electrocuted, then was forced to kill himself knowing full well he wouldn't be taking anyone with him? Holy arduous executions! No wonder the whole world will be in Zatara's gratitude; imagine the alternative!

    Man, Zatara is so cool with his top hat, and cheeck bones, and elegant moustache and don't get me started on how he barely moves his eyelids,… and he's a bad-ass like the naked bunny pointed out. Killing a foe like that.

    Who's the white guy in the last panel? He looks like either a slave-trader or a caricature of a jew, which was probably the same back in those days of racial caricatures…

    You could argue that Zatara didn't kill the villain, the villain killed himself. Then again, a less sensible hero probably would have made alittle more effort to save him…
