What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Oh for the days when Green Arrow had any imaginable gadget in his quiver…

An atomic bomb arrow? Indoors, no less?

Why would you even have that?

How are you guys liking the one post a day format?

“Only a desperate situation like this…” Rrrright, the hero in you just can’t cope with the idea of the pain and suffering awaiting those inside the building (and also those a few miles around, now that we come to it…), it’s much better to painlessly vaporize them and be done with it, huh?

BTW, is it just some nonsense of mine, or would a nuclear warhead in the tip of an arrow somewhat unbalance it?

@Typolad Yes, I definitely like it, love the new look of the site too.

Yipee!  Daily posts again.  I love it, and the new look.

As for Green Arrow, I bet Starro wins too, since G.A.’s about to irradiate himself.

I was going to include the next panel, but eh…

Starro catches and eats the atomic arrow.

No more unbalanced than a boxing glove arrow.

I would prefer still being able to scroll down to see previous posts.

There actually was an atomic bazooka. At least Ollie didn’t make his arrow from taxpayer’s expense (although where did do superheroes get atomic weapons, Dr. Brown?).

I miss that, too. Still nice to have you back though.

But not as unbalanced as dressing up like Robin Hood and fighting giant alien echinoderms.

I like the random naysaying spectator there. “Eh, Starro can take it. No big deal.”

this page was written and drawn in an era where they literally sold atomic golf balls to golfers and put Radioactive Material into all sorts of Consumer Goods, inducing makeup. They added it to makeup on the basis that the women would “glow” with eternal beauty. more like eternal sickness.

So basically everyone was crazy for atomic materials.. so it’s no wonder why Green Arrow was part of the craze at the time.

Doesn’t really excuse this page though. it just really adds to the “WTF” factor when you think about the fact that there was actual human beings out there who would seriously think the same way as the way the writers who wrote the story did.

I’m finding the pace and amount of posting to be pretty comfortable to read.

He’s had it there “just in case.”  Which means it’s been sitting in his quiver for possibly years, almost certainly giving him an unhealthy dose of radiation the entire time.  Might wanna get checked out for tumors, GA.
(One post a day = good.)
