No Post Today
I’m actually writing this on the 7th. As Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish Year is on the 9th (well, sundown on the 8th), I’m not actually online.
Lately I’ve been doing my posts in advance, so you guys can still enjoy the blog even when there’s a Jewish holiday. There won’t be a post today though. I don’t think it’s appropriate. See, the tradition is we’re judged for our actions on Rosh Hashanah, then ten days later are “sentenced” on Yom Kippur. Since I’ll be ‘standing before the Divine Court”, so to speak, it seems odd having a silly little blog post. Like I’m not taking it seriously.
I know this will be weird to a lot of you. There will be funny (or an attempt at it) again tomorrow, I promise. In fact, I have almost two years worth of posts which I need to write. Lots of GL, Batman and Justice League.
I’d also like to take a moment to thank two people who have been a huge help with this blog. Matt A, who helps me with some of the backend when WordPress daunts me, and Jim MacQuarrie, who hosts it and edits some images for me. Awesome guys. Further, I’d like to thank all of you for reading this blog. The amunt of you is a bit staggering when I stop to think about it, but it’s also really good for the ego.
Finally, if I have said or done anything to offend anyone this last year, I am very sorry and hope you can forgive me.
Except Hal Jordan. Fictional or not, he really does suck.
