He Just Wants Hal for His Body

So why did Baron Tyrano, the Menace in the Iron Lung (really), split Hal in two?

First off… finding a dead body might have brought the police into it? How about shooting off “missile creatures” or jumping Hal Jordan in broad daylight on a busy street?

Secondly, if the Baron just wanted Hal because he was quite fit (and let’s be honest, who doesn’t?) that’d be one thing.However, while fear causes physical reactions, it’s not exactly the body that triggers fear.

Finally, I don’t know about you, but I think a guy who has built a “missile creature”, a body switching machine, has an army of loyal goons and apparently has a way to hit people so hard they split in two is well on his way to ruling the world with or without Hal’s body.

    995 hits?   All right!!!!!  You should have followed up with another shot of Hal’s bum.  This “front only” view is hardly inspiring.

    The poor Baron doesn’t realise GL’s body is naturally (err magnetically) attracted by wooden objects in order to knock itself out. The greatest mastermind ever, one without fear, was finally defeated by a single wooden branch…

    Hm, I thought GL’s ring protected him even without power?  Well, I’m far from an expert on this.
