In the first LoSH story, we get to see that even in the 30th century some things never change:
“Ha-ha! Kal-El got beat up by an icky girl! What a wuss!”
You know Cosmic Boy, I wouldn’t be ragging on girls while standing next to one who could erase your mind!

I really want to show my daughters my old LoSH comics, but remarks like that hold me back. I suppose I could explain the old attitudes to her before letting her read them.
Errr, what mind? That of a six year old? How do you think he got it in the first place?

Good thing the room is tall enough to handle those balloons plus an exposition box. It does, however, make them all look like midgets. Is this the great Legion we’ve learned about in school?
I like the lesson of self-reliance being taught by this panel: Kids, don’t bother telling the truth if it’ll sound implausible! It’ll make you sound weak and your friends may begin to think you are their equal. Pretend you just don’t give a damn and remain aloof.
