Exactly.
It doesn’t help that The Avengers may be the most nasty, anti-woman comic I’ve read.
Usually the lady hating sticks to one time period or one writer, but the Avengers has The Wasp making comments about “Oh I want to go on the Antarctic mission so I can try on my fur coat!” right up till the 80s.

That was a Roy Thomas comic, actually.
Stan was no prize, but Roy Thomas makes Stan look like Gloria Steinhem.
The ONLY Roy Thomas series I can’t think of a “girls are DUMB” moment from is Invaders… which sucked anyway.
