I think it’s more that the helmet kinda ALWAYS looks like he’s smiling, and Mandy simply forgot that it’s not capable of frowning. He’ll probably keep ranting at it long after Tony’s dead. “What! You dare smirk at the mighty Mandarin even after I have hewn the head from your very body?! Your insolence is interminable!”
