Mr. Element is a wacky Flash villain who’s obsessed with the periodic table. However the below panel from Showcase #13 gives us a bit of insight into his mind:

Elements are also found in steaming brown piles of horse crap, El. Why don’t you wear a giant turd on your head? And since mammalian life is based on sperm, how about you wear a big spooge-stain on the front of your tunic? Cripes, Element Lad could literally transmute any element into any other from across the room…and he settled for just a pink leotard and a capital E. Whereas you have a junior-college degree in chemistry and an Edmunds Scientific catalog. Maybe you should tone down the schtick a notch.
