This may come as a shock to readers of Brave & the Bold, but my research has cast some doubt on the proposition that falcons inhabit “lairs” consisting of vast caves. In fact, I’ve found precious little evidence that ANY bird of prey spends a significant portion of its time underground, except for the Dungeon Hawk, a bird that exists only in poorly-thought-out D&D campaigns. I think it’s more likely that our heroes have stumbled upon a cyclops’ lair.
Batman having a panic attack about a flying creature in a cave trying to eat his eyes…well, that doesn’t seem out of character at all.
